1988 48' Ocean 48 Super Sport

IntroductionThe DOBLE DE is a Very Special 48 Ocean Super Sport. I have known this boat since it was nearly new and the first owner employed LOST RIVER MARINE in Stuart FL. to customize his boat. The original owner wanted a Distinctive Yacht. LOST RIVE MARINE did a fabulous job. Custom changes include but not limited to; extended Flybridge to allow walk-around room behind helm chair custom aluminum pipes to support the factory hardtop (replaced the stainless steel) extended and reshaped the aft end of the deck house (pilasters) replaced the Flybridge deck mounted ladder with an aluminum angled FB ladder mounted on the end of the cockpit unit nearest the salon door and enclosed the entrance thru the FB deck the teak cockpit deck has been removed and painted non-skid replaces it a teak toe rail of greater dimensions replaced the factory original toe rail a custom low profile bow rail replaced the original stainless steel unit additional aluminum grab rails were strategically added to...

Subsequent owners had continued to update and customize this very special yacht. The current owner has continued having repowered the DOBLE DE with NEW Cummins QS electronic motors in 2008. Now the DOBLE DE effortlessly cruises at 27kts and tops out at 31kts something the originally 6-71TIB powered boats did not. If you are looking for a cheap project boat this IS NOT the boat. Vessel Walkthrough
Master stateroom forward with center line double bed w/4-drawers at foot of bed P & S sheer lockers 2-hanging locker P & S shelf w/locker below Sharp Flat Screen TV(NF) screened deck hatch reading lights overhead lights private entrance to MSR head w/stall shower lighted vanity storage and carpet.Aft to the port side amidships guest cabin w/twin lower bunks (filler makes wall to wall double) w/mirror above. The bunks are separated by a cabinet that houses the clothes dryer. This cabin has carpet overhead lighting reading light sheer cabinets screened deck hatch hanging locker and entrance to the guest head with separate stall shower lighted vanity basin storage teak parquet sole and toilet.Across to starboard is the galley. From the galley up several steps to the salon. The salon is of generous proportions comfortably furnished and tastefully appointed. At the forward port side is the Flat Screen LCD television entertainment components wet bar w/ice maker and storage. Across to stbd. is a counter with 2-stools followed by 2-rotating club chairs separated by a table and followed by the electrical panel. Opposite to port is comfortable leather covered L shaped sofa with storage under and double leaf HI/LO table. The salon has wood blinds carpet valances other rugs and as does the entire vessel features teak paneling that is in very nice condition.

All owners manuals on board. Teak parquet soles in heads and galley refinished 2010. Pale grey factory gel coat. Feb [removed phone] hours service performed on the main engines by Cummins mechanic (less than 170 actual hours at the time) all zincs renewed water pump impellers (mains and generator) oil and filters. April 2010 partial new headliner and hull covering inside sheer lockers.

The DOBLE DE is standing tall gel coat shines metal is nice teak is good and the boat runs so much better with her new engines than with the original 6-71's.
